Tarek El Ghadban

Dr. El Ghadban is an expert in International Law and Dispute resolution, specializing in Inter-state, Investment and Commercial Relations. He holds a PhD in International and European Law from Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne University, where he also earned his Master's in Private International and International Business Law. His foundational legal education includes a double LLB (with honors) from both Cairo University and l'École de Droit de la Sorbonne at Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne University. To complement his core degrees, he has completed specialized programs at the Universities of Salamanca, Cambridge and Oxford, as well as attended courses at The Hague Academy of International Law. Dr. El Ghadban's practice focuses on complex international negotiations and dispute resolution. He has a proven track record representing States in high-stakes settlements and has advised on disputes within the tourism, construction, oil and gas and telecommunications sectors, under both institutional and ad hoc proceedings. Before joining the firm, he was a founding partner of the Groupe académique de Conseil en Arbitrage International (GACAI) in Paris, and has gained experience at another international firm. In parallel to his professional career, Dr. El Ghadban has been a member of the International Law Department at Cairo University since 2018. He also teaches in various capacities at Cairo National University, Osnabrück University, and Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne University, focusing on the legal organization of International Relations. He is published in the fields of International Law, Private International Law, International Commercial Law and Investments Law. He currently serves as the Secretary General of the Institute of Law and Justice in Arab Societies (IEDJA) and is a member of the International Law Association (ILA). He is fluent in Arabic, English and French, and has a functional understanding of Spanish.
