Mahmoud Shaalan

Mahmoud obtained his LL.B. from the Faculty of Law at Mansoura University. He holds a double master's degree, having earned a Master of Law (LL.M.) from Hamburg University in Germany and a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Economics from Cairo University. Additionally, he holds a Banking Lawyer Certificate from the Egyptian Banking Institute. He brings over 8 years of extensive legal experience, with a primary focus on Corporate Law, Banking, and Finance. His practice encompasses structuring, negotiating, and executing high-value corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, private equity investments, and joint ventures. He is highly adept at drafting complex commercial agreements, investment documentation, and ensuring robust corporate governance for portfolio companies. Prior to joining the firm, Mahmoud served as a Corporate Lawyer at the National Bank of Egypt (NBE) for over four years, where he provided strategic legal counsel for the bank's extensive investment portfolio and asset management division. Furthermore, he has served as Of Counsel for several international businesses, providing cross-border legal support, commercial risk analysis, and strategic advisory. His earlier career also includes significant experience as a Litigation Attorney, handling a mixed caseload of commercial and civil disputes. He is a member of the Egyptian Bar Association. His working languages are Arabic and English.
